What is Fantasy Island?

An advanced version of the Boat Build. Teams are tasks with building their dream island that can float with 3 – 4 team members on board. Your team will have a chance to work cohesively, think creatively, and enjoy an exciting competition.

Key Aspects to Consider:

Indoor/Outdoor
Requires access to a pool, lake, ocean or body of water for LAST 20 minutes of program
Timing - FLEXIBLE (1 - 4 hours)
Team size: 2 - 6 people
Venue/space - enough space to comfortably accommodate your team of any group size
Tables & chairs - ideally 1 rectangular table (6ft) and 2 chairs PER TEAM (FLEXIBLE)

Program Format

  • Objective – Create a raft and set of paddling devices out of the materials provided. Extra materials are “won” by completing a series of challenges.
  • Each raft must have a clear theme
  • Criteria for winning:
  • Functional raft
  • Time to cross water
  • Inspirational raft design
  • Team appearance and energy
