What your team will experience during the Elevated Raceway
Welcome and team formation
Teams meet each other and the facilitators, get divided into balanced groups, and receive an overview of the mission.
The mission and the rules
Teams learn the goal — a fast, functional track — and the materials they have to work with.
Design and planning
Each team plans its section of track, thinking through speed, slopes, and how the pieces will connect.
Build the track
Teams construct their racetrack from cardboard and rudimentary materials, dividing the work to beat the clock.
Test and refine
Teams run trial laps, troubleshoot the trouble spots, and tune the track for a clean, fast run.
The race to the finish
Remote-control cars hit the track in a high-octane race — the payoff for all the engineering.
Awards and debrief
Winners are celebrated, then the group reflects on the collaboration and problem-solving that built the track.
