Introduction to the mission and charity partner
Learn about the real-world impact of wheelchair donations and meet (virtually or in person) the organization that will distribute the wheelchairs to people in need.
Challenge activities to earn wheelchair parts
Teams compete in collaborative problem-solving challenges. Each successful challenge earns components needed for wheelchair assembly. These activities build communication and teamwork skills.
Wheelchair assembly begins
Using earned components, teams begin constructing their wheelchairs. Detailed instructions guide the build process while fostering collaboration and attention to detail.
Teams complete their builds
Groups work together to complete assembly, troubleshoot issues, and ensure their wheelchair meets quality standards. The sense of accomplishment grows as the wheelchair takes shape.
Wheelchairs are tested and inspected
Each completed wheelchair is tested for safety and functionality. Teams celebrate their achievement and see the tangible result of their collaborative effort.
Donation ceremony and reflection debrief
A meaningful ceremony honors the work completed and the lives that will be changed. Teams reflect on lessons learned, connections made, and the impact they've created together.
Your team walks away from The Wheelchair Connection with more than a completed activity.
