The Cardboard TRAIN-ing Express is a large-group team building activity where teams build a full-sized, animated cardboard train — locomotive, cars, and caboose — big enough to carry every person on the team.

Teams agree on a shared vision, delegate roles, and build their sections of the train. The sections connect into one moving train, and the whole team boards it, followed by a debrief.

It's an intentional play on words — “train” and “training” — because the activity complements training programs and reinforces lessons in coordination and leadership.

It scales from about 12 participants to 500 or more, in teams of 4–8. Because everyone is part of the final product, it's especially good for large groups.

Most events run 1–3 hours and can flex up to 4. Timing can be tailored to your schedule.
